REPORT ON THE INTERNATIONAL CRIME PREVENTION CONFERENCE 2011 SINGAPORE
Between 14 and 17 November ACPC Chairman Master Peter Norman, accompanied by former ACPC President Judge Andrew Wilson, Ms Astrid Macleod and Mrs Julie Wilson attended the International Crime Prevention Conference held at the Suntec Centre, Singapore.
The Conference was convened by the National Crime Prevention Council, Singapore , whose Chairman, Mr Tan Kian Hoon, had visited Adelaide for ACPC’s January 2011 Asia Pacific Crime Prevention Forum.
Guests at the Conference included Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, National Chairman, and Datuk Muhammad Faud B Talib, Board member, both of the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation, who had each attended ACPC’s Forum in Adelaide.
Nearly 400 other people from 20 jurisdictions attended the conference.
After a welcome by Mr Tan, the Conference was opened by Mr S Iswaran, Second Minister for Home Affairs, Singapore, and addressed by Interpol President Khoo Boon Hui.
Mr Masaghos Zulkifli bin Masagos Mohamad, Minister of State, Singapore, was also in attendance.
